Two-Story Shed In Lafayette Burns To The Ground

Lafayette firefighters were called out to a shed fire in the 800 block of Genevieve Drive just before 5 a.m. today.

Lafayette firefighters say a neighbor called 911 after noticing the smoke.  The owner of the home, Jason Emmer, was not home at the time of the fire.

Firefighters say the two-story shed sustained heavy fire damage.  Fire investigators examined the structure and determined the fire started on the first level of the shed.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
