Two Young People Accused Of Sneaking Marijuana Into St. Martin Parish Correctional Center

18-year-old Sheena Matthews of Breaux Bridge and a male juvenile have been arrested for allegedly placing a package containing marijuana in the visitation room while visiting an inmate in the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center.

Matthews was booked into jail (bond set at $35,000.00) on the following charges:

• LA. R.S. 14:402 Introduction of contraband in a penal institution
• LA. R.S. 40:966 Possession with intent to distribute Schedule I Narcotics (Marijuana)
• LA. R.S. 14:92 Contributing to the delinquency of a minor

The juvenile has been released to the custody of a family member after being charged with the following:

• LA. R.S. 14:402 Introduction of contraband in a penal institution
• LA. R.S. 40:966 Possession with intent to distribute Schedule I Narcotics (Marijuana)
