UL Baseball Hosts Stony Brook – Inside The Numbers
Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun baseball team returns to the diamond on Friday evening, when coach Tony Robichaux’s squad plays host to the Stony Brook Seawolves, in the opening game of a three-game, weekend, non-conference series at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field.

The match-up marks the first game of a four-game homestand for Louisiana.
The two teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday to conclude the series, beginning at 2:05 pm.
Three single games were originally scheduled in the three-game series (Friday-Sunday), but Sunday's game was moved to Saturday as part of the doubleheader, due to expected rain in the Acadiana area on Sunday.
The Cajuns are currently 2-2 on the season, after defeating Northwestern St., 7-3, in non-conference action on Wednesday night.
Offensively, Louisiana is hitting a .329, along with four home runs, 22 runs batted in, and four stolen bases in six attempts.
Pitching-wise, the Cajuns sport an overall, combined, team ERA. of 5.03, holding opponents to a .258 batting average against.
Stony Brook will enter the match-up at 1-2.
The Seawolves are currently hitting a .220 as a team, along with no homers, and four RBI’s, while being out-scored, 14-7, in their season-opening series last weekend against Nicholls St.
On the mound, Stony Brook currently has an overall, combined, team ERA. of 3.96, while holding opponents to a .252 batting average against.
