Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun baseball team returns to the diamond on Wednesday, when coach Tony Robchaux's squad travels to Natchitoches, Louisiana to take on the Northwestern St. Demons in non-conference action.

First-pitch is scheduled for 4 o'clock, and you can hear all the play-by-play action on ESPN 1420 & espn1420.com, beginning with the pre-game show at 3:30 pm.

The game was originally scheduled for 6 pm, but has been moved up to the 4 o'clock start, due to cold weather.

The match-up marks the final game of a season-opening four-game road swing for Louisiana, who plays host to Stony Brook in their home opener on Friday night.

The Cajuns are currently 1-2 on the season.

Offensively, Louisiana is hitting a .304, along with three home runs, 15 runs batted in, and one stolen base in two attempts.

Pitching-wise, the Cajuns sport an overall, combined, team ERA. of 5.75, holding opponents to a .275 batting average against.

Northwestern St. will enter the match-up at 1-3.

The Demons are currently hitting a .195 as a team, along with one homer, 14 RBI's, and five steals in six attempts.

Freshman left-hander Gunner Leger (0-0. 9.00 ERA.) will get the start for the Cajuns, while the Demons will counter with sophomore left-hander Austin Tanner (0-0, 0.00 ERA.).
Louisiana leads the all-time series against Northwestern St., 81-48, including wins in 13 of the last 17 meetings.
