He's staying put. ESPN 14-20 reports that U-L football coach Mark Hudspeth will remain as the Cajuns' head coach for the forseeable future. Rumors had circulated that Hudspeth may leave for open head coaching positions in the S-E-C. But Hudspeth says he's happy in Lafayette.

Under Hudspeth's first year, the Cajuns went 8 and 4 on the year, just a season after finishing 3 and 9, while securing their first bowl berth in 41 years.
