UL Horse Farm Fundraiser Ahead Of Schedule

Wayne Elmore joined 'Mornings With Ken and Bernie' to discuss two events at the UL Horse Farm and report on fundraising efforts.  Tomorrow night "Moonlight on the Meadow" will be presented with 20 local restaurants providing meals with musical entertainment from the Acadiana Symphony and others.  Tickets for the event are $1,000 per couple and are still available by calling 337- 769-4840.

Elmore said,

Twelve contributors have donated $25,000 each so with $300,000 already raised we're confident our goal of $500,000 will be reached with a sell-out of Moonlight on the Meadow.

In addition to "Moonlight on the Meadow" a free family event called "Howdy to the Horse Farm" will be held Saturday.  The event will feature games and family fun.  Police personnel will be on hand with their horses so children can become familiar with the animals and parents are urged to bring cameras to memorialize the event.
