UL-Lafayette Student Accused Of Raping Two Underage Girls

A student at UL-Lafayette has been arrested for allegedly raping two underage girls.

UL-Lafayette police spokesman Sgt. Billy Abrams says student Pierre A. Sherrard is accused of raping the 16- and-17-year-old girls at his on-campus apartment at Legacy Park Apartments.

The alleged rapes happened Sunday night. Police began investigating Monday after responding to a report of sexual assault by Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

Sherrard was booked into the parish jail on two counts of aggravated rape and one count each of possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a school zone and possession of drug paraphernalia.faces drug possession charges.
