UL Police Cruiser Involved In Accident

A UL Lafayette Police officer was involved in a crash last night. State Police say it happened on Highway 182 in New Iberia. Troopers say a vehicle crossed the center line of the highway and hit the UL police cruiser.

The driver was cited for careless operation, no insurance and for having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle. No major injuries were reported.
