Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun softball team picked up another Sun Belt Conference win on Saturday, defeating the FIU Panthers, 7-5, and completing a three-game series sweep in the process.

Louisiana jumped on top to stay in the first inning, plating six runs, with Sara Corbello blasting a grand slam home run to highlight the eruption.

The Cajuns got another homer in the bottom half of the inning, courtesy of a solo shot from catcher Sara Draheim.

In between, FIU scored five runs, with two runs in the fourth, and three in the sixth, with third baseman Jessie Alfonso belting two homers, but it wasn't enough, as UL went on to the two-run win.

Draheim led the Cajuns at the plate, banging out a double and a homer, while Corbello finished the day with the four RBI's off the grand slam homer.

Jordan Wallace (13-6) picked up the win for Louisiana, while Corenne Jenkins (11-4) suffered the loss for FIU.

With the victory, the Cajuns improved to 22-11 overall, and 5-4 in Sun Belt Conference play, while FIU dropped to 21-19 overall, and 4-8 in league play.

Louisiana now hits the road for a six-game road trip, with their first two games coming up on Wednesday, as they travel to Norman, Oklahoma, to take on the top-ranked Oklahoma Sooners, in a non-conference doubleheader.
