The 21st-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajun softball team defeated the WKU Lady Toppers, 6-4, in Bowling Green, Kentucky on Sunday afternoon, completing a three-game weekend Sun Belt Conference sweep in the process.

The win increased Louisiana's win streak to 13 games, while giving them 20 victories in their last 21 games.

The Cajuns scored four runs in the fifth inning, and two more in the seventh, as they went on to the two-run triumph.

Second baseman Natalie Fernandez led the way at the plate for Louisiana, going 3-for-4, while catcher Lexie Elkins and shortstop Corin Voinche each collected two hits, as the Cajuns out-hit WKU, 10-9.

Jordan Wallace (13-2) picked-up the win for UL, with Christina Hamilton recording her third save of the season, while Emily Rousseau (13-9) suffered the loss for the Lady Toppers.

With the win, Louisiana improved to 28-6-1, overall, and 9-0 in Sun Belt Conference play, while WKU fell to 24-13-1, overall, and 6-3 in league play.

The Cajuns return to action on Wednesday, when they hit the road to take on Northwestern St. in a non-conference single game, before hosting South Alabama next weekend, in a big conference series.
