The 6th-ranked Louisiana Ragin’ Cajun softball team returns to the diamond on Friday, playing host to the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Hofstra Pride in the opening day of play in the Ragin' Cajuns Invitational at Lamson Park.

Louisiana will face Iowa at 2:30 pm, before squaring off with Hofstra at 5 o’clock.

The Cajuns will head into the tournament with an overall record of 9-0, out-scoring the opposition, 89-1, in the process.

Through four games, UL is hitting .384, along with 20 home runs, 79 runs batted in, and 13 stolen bases in attempts.

In the circle, Louisiana will bring an overall team ERA. of 0.16 into the tournament.

Iowa, who stands at 3-5 on the young 2015 season, is currently hitting a .228, along with one home run, 25 RBI’s, and two stolen bases, while sporting an overall combined team ERA. of 5.89.

Hofstra, who will come into the event with a record of 2-3, is hitting a .167, along with two homers, 11 RBI's, five stolen bases, and a 3.07 team ERA.

The Cajuns will take on Hofstra on Saturday at 12:30 pm, before meeting Missouri St. at 3 o’clock, prior to the tournament finale on Sunday, when they square off with McNeese St. at 2:30 pm.
