The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajun softball team is down one spot in the latest ESPN.COM/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll, which was released on Tuesday.

Louisiana, who fell to the 15th-ranked Baylor Bears, 5-4, last Thursday, dropped one spot, from #18 last week, to #19 this week.

The Cajuns had their scheduled three-game Sun Belt Conference series against Appalachian St., which was slated to be played in Boone, North Carolina, cancelled last weekend.

UL returns to action on Saturday, hosting the UTA Mavericks in a doubleheader, representing the first two games of a three-game Sun Belt Conference series at Lamson Park.

The Florida Gators are once again the top-ranked team in this week’s poll, followed by the Florida St. Seminoles, Oregon Ducks, Arizona Wildcats, and the Auburn Tigers, to round out the top five.

Washington is number six this week, while Texas A&M, Alabama, Minnesota, and Oklahoma complete the top ten.

UCLA, LSU, James Madison, Tennessee, and Baylor occupy spots 11-15, with Georgia, Michigan, Kentucky, Michigan, Georgia, Louisiana, and California at 16-20.

Finally, at 21-25, Utah, Arizona St., Wisconsin, Ole Miss, and Arkansas are ranked, respectively.
