The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns continue to get preseason love, prior to the start of the 2019 college softball season.

Louisiana is ranked #15 in the USA Today / NFCA Division I Top 25 Coaches Poll, which was released on Tuesday.

The Cajuns return six players who started at least 32 games, as well as their top two pitchers, in terms of innings pitched, from a team that finished 41-16 a season ago.

UL opens their 2019 regular season schedule on Thursday, February 7, when they host Fordham in the opening day of play in the Ragin' Cajuns Classic at Lamson Park.

Florida St, the defending national champions, are #1 in the preseason poll, followed by UCLA, Washington, Oklahoma, and Florida at 2-5, respectively.

Georgia, Arizona, Tennessee, Alabama (tie for 9th), and South Carolina (tie for 9th) round out the top ten.

LSU is ranked 11th, followed by Arizona St., Kentucky, Arkansas, and Louisiana in spots 12-15.

At 16-20, it is Texas, Auburn, Baylor, Michigan, and Texas A&M, with Minnesota, Oklahoma St., James Madison, Mississippi St., and Oregon rounding out the top 25 at 21-25, respectively.

Louisiana is ranked #18 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25, another major poll, which was also released on Tuesday.
