The 7th-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajun softball return to the diamond on Friday, playing host to the Idaho St. Bengals and the Mississippi Valley St. Devilettes in the opening day of play in the Mardi Gras Classic at Lamson Park.

Louisiana will face Idaho St. at 2:30 pm, before squaring off with Mississippi Valley St. at 5 o'clock.

The Cajuns will head into the tournament with an overall record of 4-0, after out-scoring the opposition, 40-0, last weekend, in the Louisiana Classics.

Mississippi Valley St., who will come into the event with a record of 2-5, is being out-hit by the opposition, .418/.231, while being out-scored, 72-16.

The Cajuns will take on Mississippi Valley St. on Saturday at 2:30 pm, before meeting Idaho St. at 5 o'clock, prior to the tournament finale on Sunday, when they square off with Idaho St. at 12:30 pm.
