The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajun softball team is up, just a little, in the latest ESPN.COM/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll, which was released on Tuesday.

Louisiana, who captured the Sun Belt Conference Tournament last weekend in Troy, Alabama, to move to 45-6 on the season, climb to a tie for #14 with Alabama in this week’s poll.

UL returns to action on Friday, when they take on McNeese St. in the first day of the Baton Rouge, Louisiana NCAA Regional.

The Oregon Ducks are the new top-ranked team in this week’s poll, followed by the Florida Gators, Minnesota Golden Gophers, Florida St. Seminoles, and the Arizona Wildcats, to round out the top five.

Oklahoma is number six this week, while Washington, Auburn, UCLA, and Tennessee complete the top ten.

Texas A&M, James Madison, Baylor, and Alabama and Louisiana, who are tied for the 14th position, occupy spots 11-15, with Ole Miss, Utah, Michigan, LSU, and Kentucky at 16-20.

Finally, at 21-25, BYU, Arizona St., Tulsa, South Carolina, and Ohio and South Carolina Upstate, who are tied for the 25th spot, are ranked, respectively.
