The scheduled softball game between the 9th-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns and the Appalachian St. Mountaineers in Boone, North Carolina on Sunday was cancelled due to rain.

The match-up, which was slated to be he final game of a three-game, weekend, Sun Belt Conference series, will not be made up.

Louisiana won the first two games of the series, sweeping a doubleheader from Appalachian St. on Saturday, taking the first game, 21-5, before also winning the second game, 23-6.

The Cajuns, who have won 9-straight, and have won all seven of the conference series, are currently 34-5, overall, and 17-3 in Sun Belt Conference play.

Louisiana returns to the diamond on Friday, when they travel to Eugene, Oregon to meet the top-ranked Oregon Ducks in the opening game of a three-game, weekend, non-conference series.
