UL To Aid Flood Stricken Students

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette will divide $65,000 in financial assistance among 110 students affected by this year's historic flooding. AP reports the students will receive at least $500 each to be used toward education related expenses. The students submitted applications that were the reviewed by a committee. Vice president for enrollment management DeWayne Bowie made the announcement in a Monday press release.
