Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun women’s basketball team returns to action on Tuesday, when coach Garry Brodhead’s squad plays host to the ULM Warhawks in a Sun Belt Conference affair.

Tipoff time is set for 5 o’clock.

The game will mark the opening game of a men’s/women’s doubleheader, with the UL men taking on ULM later in the evening.

The game also marks the final game of a five-game homestand for the Cajuns, who are back on the road again on Thursday, when they travel to Boone, North Carolina to take on Appalachian St.

The Cajuns will be going for the season series sweep, after defeating the Warhawks, 71-52, back on December 3 in Monroe.

Louisiana, who defeated UT-Arlington, 63-52, on Saturday, is 15-4 on the season, including an 8-2 Sun Belt Conference mark, while ULM, who beat Texas St., 63-59, also on Saturday, will enter the match-up with an overall record of 9-10, along with a 3-7 conference mark.

The Cajuns are outscoring the opposition, 65.1/54.4, and outshooting them from the floor, 41%/40%, while also holding down a 35.2/34.3 rebound advantage.

Louisiana is led by junior Jaylin Gordon, who serving an indefinite suspension, while averaging 14.9 points, to go along with 4.4 rebounds-per-game.

UL also features senior guard Keke Veal, who is averaging 14.9 points and 3.1 rebounds a contest.

ULM is being outscored by the opposition, 60.2/60.1, while outshooting opponents, 39%/37%, and holding down a 38.5/35.2 rebounding advantage.

The Warhawks are led by senior forward Alayshia Hunter, who is averaging 17.3 points and 7.5 rebounds a contest.
