UL Women Defeat FAU, 72-57

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun women's basketball team snapped an 11-game losing streak on Saturday, defeating the FAU Owls, 72-57, in Sun Belt Conference action at the Cajundome.

Louisiana trailed at the half, 35-33, but then outscored FAU, 39-22 in the second half, to capture the 15-point win.

The Cajuns out-shot the Owls from the field, 53%-38%, and also finished with a 35-33 rebound advantage.

Kia Wilridge and Kia Veal led the way for Louisiana, each scoring 20 points, while Chenise Miller paced FAU in a losing cause, with 18 points.

Witht the win, the Cajuns improved to 8-17 overall, and 2-14 in Sun Belt Conference play, while the Owls fell to 11-14 overall,a nd 8-9 in league play.
