Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun women’s basketball team returns to action on Tuesday evening, when coach Garry Brodhead’s squad plays host to the Alcorn St. Lady Braves, in a non-conference match-up.

Tipoff time at the Cajundome is set for 7 o'clock.

The game will mark the final non-conference game of the year for the Cajuns, who restart Sun Belt Conference play on January 2, when they host Appalachian St.

Louisiana, who fell to Louisiana Tech, 79-62, back on December 19, is 7-2 on the young season, while Alcorn St., a member of the SWAC, will enter the match-up with an overall record of 2-7, following a 91-41 loss to Iowa St. on December 20.

The Cajuns are outscoring the opposition, 68.8/53.8, and outshooting them, 42%/38%, while also holding down a 37.7/37.1 rebound advantage.

Louisiana is led by senior guard Keke Veal, who is averaging 15.1 points, to go along with 2.6 rebounds-per-game.

UL also features junior guard Jaylyn Gordon, who is averaging 14.6 points a contest.

Alcorn St. is being outscored by the opposition, 77.6/53.7, while also being outshot, 44%/36%, and outrebounded, 40.3/34.1.

The Lady Braves are led by senior forward Norianna Haynes, who is averaging 15.6 points and 8.0 rebounds a contest.
