Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun women's basketball team fell on the road in Sun Belt Conference play on Wednesday night, dropping a 79-44 decision to the FAU Owls, in Boca Raton, Florida.

FAU led at the half, 31-23, and then out-scored Louisiana in the second half, 48-21, as they coasted to the 35-point victory.

The Owls were able to out-shoot the Cajuns from the field, 41%-29%, and also held a 57-42 rebound advantage.

FAU was led by Latavia Dempsey, who scored a game-high 19 points, while Keke Veal paced Louisiana in a losing cause, with 10 points.

With the win, FAU improved to 8-5 overall, and 5-0 in Sun Belt Conference play, while the Cajuns fell to 7-7 overall, and 1-4 in league play.
