Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun women's basketball team suffered their first loss of the 2012-2013 season on Friday, falling to the Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks, 79-61, in non-conference action.

Nebraska-Omaha led at the half, 47-30, and then coasted to the 18-point win.

The Mavericks out-shot Louisiana from the field, 54%-45%, and also out-rebounded the Cajuns, 36-27.

Leading the way for Nebraska-Omaha was Paige Frauendorfer, who scored scored 18 points, while Sylvana Okde paced the Cajuns with a game-high 20 points.

Withe the win, Nebraska-Omaha improved to 2-0, while Louisiana suffered their first setback after two straight wins to begin the year.

The Cajuns return to action on Monday evening, when they're back on the road to take on Nicholls St.
