Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun women’s basketball team returns to action on Saturday afternoon, when coach Garry Brodhead’s squad plays host to the Dillard Bleu Devils in a non-conference match-up.

Tipoff time at the Cajundome is set for 2 o’clock.

Louisiana, who defeated ULM, 71-52, in their Sun Belt Conference opener on Thursday of last week, is 5-1 on the young season, while Dillard, an NAIA school, will enter the match-up with an overall record of 5-6.

The Cajuns are outscoring the opposition, 68.7/54.5, and outshooting them, 40%/37%, while also holding down a 39.2/38.7 rebound advantage.

Louisiana is led by senior guard Keke Veal, who is averaging 15.0 points, to go along with 2.8 rebounds-per-game.

UL also features junior guard Jaylyn Gordon, who is averaging 14.8 and 5.0 rebounds a contest.

Dillard is being outscored by the opposition, 63.7/62.2, while also being outshot, 41%/38%, and outrebounded, 40.0/39.6.

The Bleu Devils are led by senior forward guard Alena Evans, who is averaging 17.6 points and 7.6 rebounds a contest.
