Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun women's basketball team returns to the hardwood on Saturday afternoon, when coach Garry Brodhead's squad plays host to the Louisiana Tech Techsters in non-conference action.

The game marks the second game of a two-game home stand, as well as the second game in a stretch of 5-of-6 that the UL women will play at home.

Louisiana defeated Xavier (La.), 69-53, on Tuesday night, to improve to a perfect 2-0 on the young season, while Louisiana Tech, who fell to Northwestern St., 69-57, on Tuesday, will cone in at 1-1.

The Cajuns are outscoring the opposition, 72.0/54.0, and out-shooting them from the floor, 41.7%/33.3%, while holding a 44.0/32.5 rebound advantage.

Louisiana is led by junior guard Keke Veal, who is averaging 15.5 points, along with 6.0 rebounds-per-game, along with sophomore guard Jaylin Gordon, who is chipping in at 15.0 points a contest.

The Techsters are being outscored by the opposition, 69.0/66.5, and being out-shot from the floor, 50.0%/40.7%, while holding down a 38.5/30.5 rebounding edge.

Louisiana Tech is paced by sophomore guard JaQuan Jackson, who will come into the game averaging 14.0 points-per-game.

Louisiana has never defeated Louisiana Tech, with the Techsters holding a 39-0 advantage in the all-time series.

Tip-off time at Earl K. Long Gym is slated for noon.
