Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun women’s basketball team returns to action on Thursday afternoon, when coach Garry Brodhead’s squad travels to Jonesboro, Arkansas to take on the Arkansas St. Red Wolves in a Sun Belt Conference affair.

Tipoff time is set for 3:05 pm.

The game will mark the opening game of a day/night, men’s/women’s doubleheader, with the UL men taking on Arkansas St. later in the evening.

The game also marks the second game of a four-game road trip for the Cajuns, who won’t return home until January 21, against South Alabama

Louisiana, who defeated Little Rock, 65-58, on Thursday, is 10-2 on the season, including a 3-0 Sun Belt Conference mark, while Arkansas St., who beat ULM on Thursday night, 66-43, will enter the match-up with an overall record of 9-3, along with a 3-0 conference mark.

The Cajuns are outscoring the opposition, 68.1/54.5, and outshooting them from the floor, 42%/39%, while also holding down a slim 36.4/35.8 rebound advantage.

Louisiana is led by senior guard Keke Veal, who is averaging 16.5 points, to go along with 2.8 rebounds-per-game.

UL also features junior guard Jaylyn Gordon, who is averaging 14.2 points and 4.0 rebounds a contest.

Arkansas St. is being outscoring the opposition, 71.7/59.1, and outshooting opponents, 44%/39%, while also holding down a 37.8/37.0 rebounding advantage.

The Red Wolves are led by senior guard Aundrea Gamble, who is averaging 16.9 points and 4.5 rebounds a contest.
