Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun women’s basketball team returns to action on Thursday, when coach Garry Brodhead’s travels to Monroe, La. to take on the ULM Warhawks in the Sun Belt Conference opener for both teams.

Tipoff time is set for 5 o'clock.

Louisiana, who defeated Sacred Heart, 60-58, in overtime, in the final day of the San Juan Shootout last Saturday, is 4-1 on the young season, while ULM, who beat Southeastern Louisiana, 88-84, also on Friday night, will enter the match-up with an identical 4-1 mark.

The Cajuns are outscoring the opposition, 68.2/55.0, and outshooting them, 39%/37%, while being outrebounded, 40.4/39.6.

Louisiana is led by senior guard Keke Veal, who is averaging 15.2 points, to go along with 2.6 rebounds-per-game.

UL also features senior guard Kia Wilridge, who is averaging 14.0 and 2.8 rebounds a contest.

ULM is outscoring the opposition, 70.8/54.6, while also outshooting opponents, 43%/35%, and holding down a 40.0/34.6.

The Warhawks are led by senior forward guard Alayshia Hunter, who is averaging 17.6 points and 5.6 rebounds a contest.
