Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun women’s basketball team returns to action on Friday afternoon, when coach Garry Brodhead’s squad travels to San Juan, Puerto Rico, to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks in the first day of play in the San Juan Shootout.

Tipoff time is set for 1:30 pm.

The Cajuns would conclude play in the tournament on Saturday, when they take on Sacred Heart at 11:30 am.

Louisiana, who fell to Houston, 51-50, on Sunday afternoon, is 2-1 on the young season, while Arkansas, who fell to Tulsa, 74-67, on Monday night, will enter the match-up at 2-2.

The Cajuns are outscoring the opposition, 71.3/52.7, while outshootting them, 44%/36%, and outrebounding them, 40.0/37.0.

Louisiana is led by junior guard Jaylyn Gordon, who is averaging 16.0 points, to go along with 4.3 rebounds-per-game.

UL also features senior guard Keke Veal, who is averaging 14.3 and 3.0 rebounds a contest.

Arkansas is outscoring the opposition, 75.0/62.5, while outshooting opponents, 39%/38%,and holding a slim 47.8/35.8 rebounding edge.

The Razorbacks are led by junior forward Jessica Jackson, who is averaging 21.5 points and 9.8 rebounds a contest.
