UL Women To Take On Georgia Southern – Inside The Numbers
Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun women’s basketball team returns to action on Thursday afternoon, when coach Garry Brodhead’s squad travels to Statesboro, Georgia to take on the Georgia Southern Eagles in a Sun Belt Conference affair.
Tipoff time is set for 4 o'clock.

The game will mark the opening game of a day/night, men’s/women’s doubleheader, with the UL men taking on Georgia Southern later in the evening.
The game also marks the third game of a four-game road trip for the Cajuns, who won’t return home until January 21, against South Alabama
Louisiana, who lost to Arkansas St., 83-56, on Saturday, is 10-3 on the season, including a 3-1 Sun Belt Conference mark, while Georgia Southern, who fell to Troy on Saturday, 81-66, will enter the match-up with an overall record of 4-9, along with a 1-3 conference mark.
The Cajuns are outscoring the opposition, 67.2/56.7, and outshooting them from the floor, 42%/40%, while also holding down a slim 36.1/36.0 rebound advantage.
Louisiana is led by senior guard Keke Veal, who is averaging 16.6 points, to go along with 2.7 rebounds-per-game.
UL also features junior guard Jaylyn Gordon, who is averaging 13.7 points and 4.0 rebounds a contest.
Georgia Southern is being outscored by the opposition, 63.2/52.8, and being outshot by opponents, 39%/35%, while also being out-rebounded, 38.6/35.2.
The Eagles are led by senior guard Angel McGowan, who is averaging 15.3 points and 3.8 rebounds a contest.
