Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun women’s basketball team is back in action on Thursday, when coach Garry Brodhead’s squad travels to Monroe, Louisiana to take on the ULM Warhawks in a Sun Belt Conference affair.

Tip-off time is scheduled for 5:15 pm, and you can hear all the play-by-play action on ESPN 1420 and espn1420.com, beginning with the pregame show at 5 o'clock.

The contest will be the first game of a men's/women's doubleheader, with the UL men taking on ULM 35 minutes following the completion of the women's game.

Louisiana, who has won seven of their last ten, fell to UT-Arlington, 70-66, on Saturday, to drop to 15-7, overall, and 7-6 in league play, while ULM, who defeated Georgia Southern, 58-50, last Saturday, is currently 10-12, and 6-7, respectively.

UL is currently in fifth-place in the Sun Belt Conference standings, only one game out of third-place, while ULM is in seventh-place, one game in back of the Cajuns.

The Cajuns are out-scoring the opposition, 62.2/59.0, while being out-shot by foes from the floor, 41.7%/36.3%, and out-rebounded, 38.2/37.9.

Louisiana is paced by sophomore guard Jaylin Gordon, who leads the team in scoring, at 13.8 points-per-game, and junior guard Kia Wilridge, who is second on the team in scoring, first in rebounding, and second in assists at 12.6, 5.3, and 2.6, respectively.

The Warhawks are being out-scored by the opposition, 65.3/60.5, while out-shooting foes from the floor, 39.9%/38.0%, and holding down a 38.5/36.0 rebound advantage.

ULM is paced senior center Sharnice Brooks, who is averaging 14.0 points and 6.3 rebounds-per-game, and junior forward Alayshia Hunter, who is averaging 8.6 points and 5.6 rebounds a contest.

The Warhawks defeated the Cajuns, 67-60, in overtime, back on January 19 at the Cajundome.
