Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun women’s basketball team is back in action on Saturday afternoon, when coach Garry Brodhead's squad travels to Hammond, Louisiana to take on the Southeastern Louisiana Lady Lions in a non-conference affair.

Tip-off is scheduled for 2 o’clock, and will mark the only road tilt for UL before they return home for a three-game swing.

Louisiana, who is a perfect 3-0 on the young season, is coming off of a 58-55 win over Louisiana Tech last Saturday, while Southeastern Louisiana, who defeated Mobile, 68-50, on Tuesday evening, is currently 2-2.The Cajuns are outscoring the opposition, 67.3/54.3, and out-shooting foes from the floor, 43.8.%/34.9%, while also holding down a 40.7/32.3 rebounding edge.

UL is paced by junior guard Keke Veal, who leads the team in scoring, at 13.3 points-per-game, and junior guard Kia Wilridge, who is second on the team in scoring, and first in assists, at 11.0, and 4.0, respectively.

The Lady Lions are being outscored by the opposition, 88.3/72.3, while being out-shot, 45.2%/39.9%, and out-rebounded, 47.7/42.3.

Southeastern Louisiana is paced by senior guard Nanna Pool, who is averaging 16.7 points and 7.0 rebounds-per-game, along with sophomore guard Symone Miller, who is averaging 14.7 points, along with 3.0 rebounds a contest.

The game will mark the first-ever match-up between the two schools.
