UL Women Visit Little Rock – Game Preview
Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun women’s basketball team returns to action on Thursday afternoon, when coach Garry Brodhead’s squad travels to Little Rock, Arkansas to take on the Little Rock Trojans, in a Sun Belt Conference affair.
Tipoff time is set for 5:15 pm.

The game will mark the opening game of a day/night, men’s/women’s doubleheader, with the UL men taking on Little Rock approximately 35 minutes following the completion of the women’s game.
The game also marks the opening game of a four-game road trip for the Cajuns, who won't return home until January 21, against South Alabama
Louisiana, who defeated Appalachian St., 60-51, last Saturday, is 9-2 on the season, including a 2-0 Sun Belt Conference mark, while Little Rock, who lost to Troy last Saturday, 78-71, will enter the match-up with an overall record of 3-8, along with a 1-1 conference mark.
The Cajuns are outscoring the opposition, 68.4/54.2, and outshooting them from the floor, 42%/38%, while also holding down a slim 36.9/36.2 rebound advantage.
Louisiana is led by senior guard Keke Veal, who is averaging 15.3 points, to go along with 2.7 rebounds-per-game.
UL also features junior guard Jaylyn Gordon, who is averaging 14.1 points and 4.1 rebounds a contest.
Little Rock is being outscored by the opposition, 61.9/56.1, and outshot by opponents, 44%/40%, while also being outrebounded, 34.7/32.4.
The Trojans are led by senior forward Shanity James, who is averaging 15.1 points and 6.4 rebounds a contest.
