Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team recorded a non-conference road victory on Monday evening, defeating the Jackson St. Lady Tigers, 81-64, in Jackson, Mississippi.

Louisiana led at halftime, 48-30, and then cruised to the 17-point win.

The Cajuns outshot the Lady Tigers from the field, 52%-40%, and also finished with a 38-28 rebound advantage.

Keke Veal led the way for UL, scoring 18 points, while Braile Fields added 13.

In a losing cause for Jackson St., Ayanna Hardy-Fuller scored a game-high 19 points.

With the victory, Louisiana improved to 4-2 on the young season, while Jackson St. dropped to 1-5.

The Cajuns return to action on Sunday afternoon, when they host Xavier (New Orleans).
