Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun women’s basketball team returns to the hardwood on  Saturday afternoon, when coach Garry Brodhead’s squad travels to Jonesboro, Arkansas, to take on the Arkansas St. Red Wolves in Sun Belt Conference action.

The game marks the final regular season game for both teams.

Louisiana, who had their four-game win streak snapped on Wednesday night, after falling to the WKU Lady Toppers, 80-71, currently stands at 14-14, overall, and 7-10 in Sun Belt Conference play.

That 7-10 league mark puts the Cajuns, who have guaranteed themselves a spot in the postseason Sun Belt Conference Tournament, in a tie for seventh place in the conference standings with ULM.

ASU, who is 19-10, overall, and 13-4 in league play, sits atop the conference standings by one game over second place WKU, and can clinch the top-seed in the tournament with a victory.

Offensively, UL is currently sixth in the conference, scoring 65.0 points-per-game, while Arkansas St. ranks third, averaging 73.7 points a contest.

Defensively, the Cajuns rank third in the league, allowing 65.0 points-per-game, while the Red Wolves are giving up 67.2 points a tilt, which is fifth in the conference.

Louisiana is led by sophomore guard Sylvana Okde, who is averaging 10.8 points-per-game, while Arkansas St. is paced by sophomore guard Aundrea Gamble, who is averaging 18.8  points-per-game.

The Cajuns won the earlier match-up this season, defeating the Red Wolves, 77-76, back on February 15 at the Cajundome.

Tip-off time is scheduled for 3 o’clock.
