MONROE, La. (AP) — Thanks to a new signed agreement between the University of Louisiana-Monroe andLouisiana Delta Community College, employees at both schools can take classes at either site at reduced tuition rates.

The News-Star (http://tnsne.ws/PAo35E) reports ULM President Nick Bruno and Delta's interim Chancellor Jerry Ryan signed a memorandum of understanding that allows Delta employees to take classes at ULM at a rate of about $500 less per class, per semester than it would ordinarily cost.

ULM employees can attend classes at Delta at about half the normal price.

Bruno described the agreement as creative and innovative, and credited Ryan for the idea.
