I had the honor of teaching Morgann years ago when she was a student at Catholic High School in New Iberia. Morgann's kindness, hard work, and dedication were inspiring to her fellow students and teachers and have led to her great success.

Morgann is competing for All-American honors for the sixth time in her career today in the women’s pole vault at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Oregon.

According to RaginCajuns.com, Morgann is ranked No. 4 nationally. She claimed first-team All-America honors in outdoor competition in 2012 and 2013 and earned first-team honors (2012, 2014-15) at the NCAA Indoor Championships.

Morgann set a school record in her first season at UL, and a Sun Belt Conference record in the pole vault at last month’s SBC Outdoor Championships, clearing the bar at 14-10. Morgann was also named Sun Belt Conference Field 2016 Student of the Year.

Morgann competes tonight at 7 PM CST. A live stream of the competition and results will be available on ESPN3 and WatchESPN.
