For the fourth year the UL Picard Children's Learning Center is teaming up with Barnes and Nobles to collect books for children.  Today on 'Mornings with Ken and Bernie' Lana Fontenot of the Picard Center and Christine Breaux of Barnes and Noble outlined the program.  The event is held each year from November 1st through January 1st giving people the opportunity to purchase books for children who can't afford to have books at home without some financial help.  According to Fontenot,

Through Barnes and Nobles, selected books are offered at a cost of only $4.00 each and in the past three years more than 16,000 books have been donated to needy pre-kindergarten and kindergarten age children.
