BOSSIER CITY, La. (AP) — Investigators are trying to identify a woman whose body was found in the Red River.

The Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office says the woman's body was found Friday afternoon just north of the Red River South Marina. Investigators believe her body had been in the water for up to three weeks.

The sheriff's office says the woman was approximately 5 feet tall, weighed about 120 pounds, had short hair and appeared to be between 40 and 60 years old.

Investigators are using DNA and dental records to identify the woman.
