Several factors are contributing to blood shortages being faced by United Blood Services. United Blood Services Marketing Manager Mitzi Breaux said,

Threats of the severe weather outbreak caused several United Blood Services mobile blood drives and donor centers to cancel or shut down early today resulting in a loss of over 300 blood products.
