In an update to this story, the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office has arrested four people for their alleged roles in a shooting that happened in New Iberia Sunday.

According to the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office, the two men shot in the incident on Shot Street were also allegedly shooters as well. Captain Ryan Turner says two groups of two men met Sunday with the intention of having an altercation and began shooting at each other.

Jabrison Kinchen, Todd Romero, Jakeem Henry, and Leroy Charles are all behind bars on attempted 2nd degree murder charges. Leroy Charles is also facing additional drug charges after authorities searched his home and say they found a stolen handgun, marijuana packaged for individual sale, cash and drug paraphernalia.

Deputies are still investigating. They believe there will be more arrests.

21-year-old Leroy Charles was charged with two counts of attempted 2nd degree murder, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, money derived by drug proceeds and possession of drug paraphernalia.
