UPDATE: Suspect In Cecilia Burglaries Captured

The latest on the person police in St. Martin Parish are looking for.

Deputies there tell us Mark Journet was captured just before one o'clock this afternoon. He was spotted in a field off of Coteau Roaire.

Police believe Journet to be responsible for a number of alleged burglaries in the Cecilia area. He was also wanted in connection with a series of alleged vehicle and car burglaries in northern St. Martin Parish.

Journet will be booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on various burglary and other charges.
