US Border Patrol Sued Over Traffic Stops

The American Civil Liberties Union of Washington State is suing the US Border Patrol claiming its' agents regularly stop Latinos and other people of color with unjustified traffic stops.  Today on "Mornings With Ken & Bernie" we spoke with Hipilito Acosta, retired border patrol agent with 30 years service and author of the book, The Shadow Catcher.

Acosta said, "we have to control immigration and we have a challenge in the Northwest where the ACLU is contesting the authority of Border Patrol agents to make stops in the proximity of the US border".

We asked Acosta if the job was dangerous and he replied, "it's not an easy thing when you have to make quick decisions while making a stop to insure you don't violate someones rights and you protect you and your partner".
