If you are a customer with Cleco or Entergy, then you should be checking your next few statements carefully to see if you have received a refund.

The PSC says two Louisiana-based energy companies will be giving refunds as credits to customers this year.

Members of the state's Public Service Commission have voted to let Pineville-based electricity provider Cleco  put a refund on its customers' September bills.

Public Service Commission attorney Mike Fontham says customers of Entergy Corporation subsidiaries here in the state can expect a refund after federal regulators decide how much the company owes them. The regulators found that Entergy improperly sold its electricity to customers in Louisiana while customers in Arkansas were being charged lower rates.

The roughly 380,000 customers of Entergy Gulf States Louisiana LLC already started seeing credits on their June bills because of an earlier, similar, ruling involving Entergy subsidiaries in four states.
