PINEVILLE, La. (AP) — Gov. Bobby Jindal's administration says Crest Industries plans to construct a new office building at its Pineville headquarters.

Louisiana Economic Development said Friday that the $2.3 million project is expected to create 90 new jobs. The new building will add 22,500 square feet of office space and will be the fifth building on the company's headquarters.

Crest Industries serves electric utility customers, commercial and industrial electrical contractors and the forestry industry. The company was founded in 1958.

Construction of the new building is slated to begin early this year and is expected to be completed by the end of 2014.
