BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — The Baton Rouge constable says authorities are investigating possible vandalism at a parking lot where 16 vehicles were found, each with all four tires deflated.

Constable Reginald R. Brown Sr. tells The Advocate that the lot is one where a group of Southern University football fans left their cars before taking a bus to a road game Saturday in Albuquerque, N.M.

He says authorities weren't sure all the tires were punctured but do suspect vandalism because so many tires were deflated.

Cpl. L'Jean McKneely, a Baton Rouge police spokesman, says a friend of the fans checked on the vehicles Sunday and noticed the flat tires.

The lot is near the city police department's First District headquarters.

Southern lost to New Mexico, 66-21.
