Vehicle Accident On Eraste Landry Road

There was an accident with injuries on Eraste Landry Road at the Patio Center Monday afternoon.

Corporal Paul Mouton with Lafayette Police says it happened at 1:15 p.m. The car in the above pictures was the only one involved, according to Mouton. He says for unknown reasons the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck the pole of the building.

Mouton says the driver was taken to the hospital and suffered moderate injuries. When asked if impairment was a factor, Mouton says they do not know that yet. Officers are testing for that, as usual. Mouton says the crash is still under investigation.

The driver's name has not been released. We will update you as more details come in.
