Verdunville Man Busted For Drugs At His Home

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office arrested a Verdunville man yesterday after executing a search warrant at this home.

Narcotics agents say they arrested 28-year-old Eric Bridges of 136 Vaughn Lane after searching the house.

They recovered several high grade bags of marijuana, Demerol and Adderall along with drug paraphernalia.

Bridges was arrested on the following charges:

• Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Possession of Schedule II narcotics (Adderall)
• Possession of Schedule II narcotics (Demerol)
• Possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance
• Violation of a controlled dangerous substance in a drug free zone

Agents say Vaughn's home is within 2,000 feet of a church leading to the charge for having a controlled dangerous substance in a drug free zone.
