NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Senior running back Mike Campbell had three rushing touchdowns as Vermilion Catholic earned a record-breaking 63-18 victory over St. Fredrick's in the 2013 LHSAA Division IV State Championship Game Saturday afternoon in the Superdome.

Briefly falling behind after a 26-yard field goal by Seth Christian, Vermilion Catholic (14-0) scored 42 of the next 49 points as Brennan Gallet connected with Connor Menard for a 63-yard touchdown and Campbell for a seven-yard touchdown reception. Campbell would later add touchdown runs of 62 yards and three yards to push the Screaming Eagles' lead to 28-3.

The Division IV crown is the first state championship for Vermilion Catholic since the school won a Class 1A crown in 2003.
