Vermilion Parish Escapee On The Run

According to our news partners at KATC the Vermilion Parish Sheriff's Department is on the lookout for a jail inmate who escaped this afternoon.

Deputies say apparently Christopher Dyson scaled a fence while working as a trusty in the jail's laundry.  Dyson was being held on $10,000 bond for a drug offense.  He is not armed and not considered to be dangerous.

Dyson is a white male wearing either a black and white stripped jump suit or black and white stripped pants and a white T-shirt.

If you see Dyson or know his whereabouts you're asked to call 911.
