Vermilion Parish Suspect On The Loose

On Wednesday November 19th agents with the Vermilion Parish Narcotics Division observed what seemed to be a drug transaction between a pedestrian and two people in a vehicle. Agents stopped the car and the driver fled on foot. The passenger, Gene Williams III was taken into custody and charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute crack and possession of drug paraphernalia. Sheriff Mike Couvillion says the driver has been identified as Darron Carter and warrants have been obtained for his arrest.
