Vermilion Parish To Get Piece Of Half Million Dollar Grant Money

The state of Louisiana and Vermilion Parish have been awarded nearly $500,000 in federal grants for coastal restoration and protection projects.  Lafource Parish gets the bulk of the money for beach and dune restoration, while Vermilion Parish gets more than $186,000 for a shoreline protection and marsh creation plan at Tiger Point, along the Gulf of Mexico shoreline.
